Difficult Work vs. Frustrating Work

by | Nov 1, 2020

Business owners always tell us, “My tolerance for B.S. is so much lower than it used to be. This type of work never used to bother me.” Call it burnout, wisdom, experience, or impatience; it doesn’t matter.

You are supposed to be able to enjoy your business. After all, you are in control of every aspect of it. Sometimes our patience level for general B.S. is nothing more than wishing a task/project was easier than it is. This makes sense. Every business owner has 35 to-dos at all times, so a frustrating 36th one can raise your ire.

If you really think about it, isn’t some of your frustration illustrated by the person on the right? Frustration grows from feeling like a task is just too much of a stretch or that it seems impossible. When something doesn’t seem doable, that’s exactly how we feel.

Sometimes moving from your current state to a Half-Retired state feel the same way. Where do you start? How will you be able to cut your work in half?

That’s why we created the Half-Retire Blueprint. This six-step process is broken down into bite-sized steps, just like the ladder on the left. If you want to learn more about the process, you can download the Half-Retire Blueprint here.
